The bathrooms were huge and there was a fan to help it cool down which was great! The beds were okay but spacious but Bo at reception was amazing when you were looking to book activities! Very social hostel too

Loved the location, and the staff were just fabulous! The room was clean and super comfortable. I extended my stay for a week because the dorm mattresses were really comfy and dark. The bar was hit or miss depending on who was there, but I definitely recommend this place. For those who have to work, there are plenty of empty cafes nearby.

Staff were really welcoming and friendly. Dorms & showers were clean and maintained in the ladies although my boyfriend said needs up dating in the men’s showers and toilets but wasn’t that bad. The highlight of our trip was the two cats they had, one of them liked to come inside the dorms (so let her in!!!) she’s super friendly & loves a cuddle

The location is great and at nights there is always a lot of people so very easy to socialize. Double bed options are nice also.

Really comfortable and massive private room. Excellent for a couple - not a party hostel but still good atmosphere and quiet after midnight. Great location, really good value for city. The staff put a lot of effort into making the hostel a welcoming and fun environment.

Sylvis is a really good place for solo travellers, the staff speak great english and can assist you with booking day tours/cooking classes. The lobby on the ground floor is a great place to meet new people, hang out or have a drink. The location is also walking distance from many great eateries and night clubs. The room is comfortable and value for money. The travllers in my dorm were extremely considerate and did not make much noise late at night or early in the morning.

Can’t speak highly enough of this hostel. Rooms very modern and clean. Met so many other solo travellers here so perfect if you’re on your own. Very good in the evenings. Great location. Bo who’s works there could not of been anymore helpful. And you have to do the full day trip to elephant land. ( providing you don’t mind trekking with the elephants through the jungle for two hours). If I go back to chiang mai I’m most definitely staying here.

Great social hostel but not full on party hostel, that's across the road at stamps which you can join in if you wanted. There is music from the bar but that shuts off strictly at 11pm. Bedrooms were really comfortable, beds were private and very clean with lockers in the rooms. Staff were amazing and Bo took a few of us to see Chiang Mai United play which was class. Helpful with booking onward travel and tours.
